Putting Woes Continue For Medeiros At States

Brandon Medeiros hit the ball well enough to challenge for the state title but his putting woes continued at Shaker Hills in Harvard on Monday. Brandon 3 putted 4 of the first seven holes and was 9 over par in that stretch. He played the next 11 holes in 1 over par to shoot an 81 but 36 putts cost him the chance at the state title. His 14th place finish out of 46 was not what he expected and is very disappointed. He vows that next year will be different and he will try his best to help the team to their 5th straight division title and a trip to the State Tournament.

Titans Fall Short At Sectionals

The Titans fell just short at sectionals as their inexperience showed and they finished 4th out of 12 teams 1 spot from qualifying for the State Tournament. Brandon Medeiros qualified as an individual even though his putter abandoned him. He had five 3 putts and could not get anything to fall but managed to shoot 81 and squeak in as an individual qualifier. Brandon Sturtevant (82) played well for the Titans but missed qualifying by 1 shot. He said he had some unlucky breaks and vowed it would be different next year. The remaining Titans showed their inexperience in tournament play shooting 92 - 98 and even though they were disappointed they know next year is going to be different as this was a stepping stone to bigger things. I have had the privilege to watch this team for most of the season and just want to tell you how far this team has come. They are a tough bunch and win or lose they are always smiling at the end of the day. The coaches did an outstanding job this season and they are extremely proud of how good the boys played. Way to go Titans no matter what you are the best!!!!!!! Look for pictures in the photos section.
